Core Position Descriptions
Management of 20-25 inpatients (wards, Stroke Unit, ICU)
Assessment of ED patients with neurological presentations
Acute stroke management including intravenous thrombolysis on site and off site endovascular clot retrieval
Ward consultations
Neurology Outpatient Clinics - Weekly general neurology clinics, Monthly Obstetric Neurology, Neuromuscular, Neurogenetics, and Neuroimmunology clinics.
Weekly Rapid Access Neurology (RAN) clinics
Monthly off site clinic at local Aboriginal health centre
Weekly Stroke/Rehabilitation/Multidisciplinary meeting
EEG reporting under supervision
EMG/NCS clinics - three sessions per week
Weekly Neurology and radiology Grand Rounds (Liverpool and onsite Campbelltown)

Selection Criteria
Passed FRACP written and clinical examinations.
Acceptance to the ANZAN training scheme.

To train the next generation of young neurologists in the clinical skills of neurology while providing expert care for neurological disorders in the growing population of South Western Sydney.

To enhance research skills in close collaboration with University of Western Sydney School of Medicine.
