Overseas Neurology Trainees
Residents from outside Australia and New Zealand who are interested in spending time in Australia training in neurology should contact the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for information about their eligibility to train in Australia : https://www.racp.edu.au/trainees/basic-training/provisional-advanced-training
The Australian Association of Neurologists coordinates the recruitment of neurology registrars throughout Australia each year. Information and application forms are available in July each year. Information about the application process is available.
Successful completion of the RACP Part 1 exam is a pre-requisite for acceptance into the neurology training programme. Applicants from overseas who do not have the RACP Part 1 exam may apply through the national recruitment process, but are strongly advised to contact the Head of Department at hospitals they wish to apply for, as well as the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Applicants should indicate in their application that these contacts have been made.
